​APRIL 11 BUSINESS OWNER INTERVIEW

On a trip to Manchester, I briefly visited Mayfield (though not inside), and found a scrap dealer round the back on Temperance Street. I spoke briefly to him as he said Whitehall of the North would cease his business though he would be given compensation. (Full details on Businesses page).

JANUARY â€‹WHITEHALL OF THE NORTH

It was officially announced this month that governmental offices, due to built on Mayfield, shall be the 'Whitehall of the North' (see more information on the Whitehall of the North page).

​MAY 29 MAYFIELD PROPOSALS MADE

Manchester City Council and the government today announced that amongst the proposals for redevelopment of Mayfield are governmental offices. This is due to it being deemed unnecessary for conversion to a coach station for National Express.
